Ok, having posted this one a year before I am gonna repost it as I finally got the lyrics. Video is still missing, but at least the audio and some cool images from Youtube are to be featured now. And even after one year on my playlist, I am still not tired of the Anathem of The Kings : Eminem, 50 cents, Lil Wayne, and just hope the same is true for you…
Ok, my next one in the playlist on Youtube is МакSим – Знаешь ли ты (Maksim – Znaesh li ty – Do you know) and because it might be easier I will add to the Russian lyrics and the video clip also an English translation and a transliteration for those who want to follow the words even better. The video is somewhat girlish, but the music great and currently on repeat Asking for more recommendations…
Thompson – Ima Nešto Vrijednije od Zlata is a great song I discovered these days on Youtube. Though there is no video it is still worth listening to it. As far as I know they guys from Thompson are kinda right-wing and actually I should not post them. But I will do so nevertheless for three reasons: First, the song itself is really beautiful, second, the band received for good reasons massive critics from the Croatian media, who had enough attitude to do so. That is encouraging and a trend other Eastern European countries should follow when approaching their ultra-nationalists, despite some obvious merits and the fact that a band gained some popularity. Third, the lyrics of this very song are really good and I don’t quite get it why people can be that emotional with some and and then again that bad with others. Moreover, I don’t know why it remembers me some of our Yugoslavian dudes leaving school on friday during the nienties for a weekend playing war in their home country. Each of them on another side. That was bullshit. I preferred you guys staying safe and at home. All of you.
Hey guys, today, I am not going hail the Romanian cuisine, even though I am a big fan, but start out with two basic assumptions: The dog is men’s best friend and stray dogs need trash to survive. As Bucharest has plenty of the latter, it features also plenty of the first. And because I do not want to talk bad about my new hometown I prefer to express the situation this way. Yet, Bucharest is much more than this, but let’s start with the beginning.
The unimaginable happened and I am running out of music. I didn’t even bother to enhance my playlist on Youtube due to a complete lack of time. So I remembered an old favorite of mine, Crocodile Gena’s Birthday song. Gena is a character from an old Soviet animation series for children, the main hero being Cheburshka. Nevertheless, feel free to send me your recommendations via YouTube
The Ofra Haza page on facebook posted today a nice song from Youtube, sung by Ofra Haza and I am gonna repost it here, together with a transliteration from Hebrew and an English translation. As Esther Ofarim has a nice interpretation of this song, too, I include her as well in the post. See for yourself which version do you like better. I admire both.
