Hadorbanim (The Porcupines) and their song “»Od Layla« (»Another night«) is awesome. I listen it for days now. You might think it is a happy song, and well it is, but you should read the lyrics (Hebrew and English) first and after the 5th night without sleep I share it with you as I somehow found out the reason for being sleepless…

Ahmed and Salim – V7
After a long time of waiting Sugar zaza finally gave way to the 7th episode of Ahmed and Salim, a sitcom about two little terrorists that made the Israeli net rock during the last month and made even a lot of people in other countries lough. And loughing about terrorists and fanatic jew-haters is probably a good way to make clear what these people actually are – despite all the harm they cause from day to day – ridiculous jerks. However, you should be into that southpark style of humor 
6th of June 1944: Sabaton – Primo Victoria
One of Sabaton’s best songs is – without any doubts – »Primo Victoria« about the Allies invasion of the Normandy, or simply »D-Day«. So, the 6th of June seems to be a good opportunity to share this song and a great fan art videowith material from the Movie »Saving Private Ryan« with you and to send some thanks for the sacrifices which made it possible to stop the madness and eventually freed Europe…
Peter Heppner – Alleinesein
After the last release in 2004 with Paul van Dyke (»Wir sind wir«) it seems that Peter Heppner needed some time for managing the next one: Though already released in 2008 I still like the single »Alleinesein« by Peter Heppner and this video clip in particular. Romanian Diaries (1) – Where the Heck is Romania?!
After staying in Romania for some six month now I am thinking of writing down some experiences from my stay abroad and to share my insights with you. But let me start with a short introduction to Romania and its history. Where is Romania? Is it a real state or rather a state of emergency? What are the Romanians like? And how did I got here? All this questions are to be answered first and the answers might be surprizing….
First of all, Romania is a country in South-Eastern Europe (some would account it to the Balkans but most Romanians strongly oppose this idea) and, it is a rather beautiful country. Unfortunately it is populated, as the Romanians use to add. Means: things could be better and somehow, the population living there is in some regards responsible this for. Another joke in this regard is that Romania is not a state, but rather a state of emergency (România nu este o ţară ci o stare).
However, for now I want to leave these Romanian (self-) ironical qualifications aside and stop this part with the conclusion, that Romanians are always eager to criticize themselves and their country in the sharpest ways, but on the other hand, they do not like it at all if strangers do so. When it comes to international relations Romanians are very proud of their country and their ethnic heritage, which they consider to be a unique miracle in history.
Pink – Sober – (Bimbo Jones Remix)
Some breaking news on me and my Ipod: Pink’s »Sober« was already cool, but this remix by Bimbo Jones is cool, too. Actually, I don’t know whether the original version or this mix is cooler, but currently I rather listen the RMX. And as usually, I have to thank SnakeJo (though it was – in this special case – me who found the video) for making me have the idea to look after it, otherwise, I wouldn’t have found it …
Hamas Friend concerned about »War Crimes« in Gaza
Hamas friends (or just Israel-enemies?) abuse self critics and investigations of the Israelian Society and the IDF just for another round of Israel bashing. While an Israelian Newspaper and the IDF try to investigate some issues, Ulrike Putz (SPIEGEL Online) speaks about »random murder« based on sources which unveil for the very first time »uncensored« the »war crimes« commited by the Israelian Army during the latest Gaza Crisis…
Some days ago, the Israelian Newspaper Haaretz published an article and some follow-ups about the IDF investigating some issues which may have happend during the recent gaza crisis. The articles reported about some IDF soldiers who claimed having witnessed some cases of vandalism and misunderstandings with deadly consequences during the latest gaza war. The IDF and the society of Israel are discussing and investigating the cases. Nothing special so far, the same procedure as in every democratic country after a war. However, reading some other newspapers, the same information, though based solely on the articles issued by Haaretz itself, the story is presented somehow different and given a more »special« touch. And, of course, as usual, the first flames in the Pro Israel Groups of studiVZ appreared.
New Projects
After a (too) long time of silence I am coming back to you with some news on recent developments. First, I am fine, living in Sibiu and Bucharest, developed some new web projects (including this one) and many more are to come soon (together with my partner Alex Cocieru). Though I am thinking of getting back to Germany some time (for e.g. making a PhD in Economics) there are still plenty of things to do in Romania…

Today I have the pleasure to write my first post and it’s actually about one of the most awesomest songs out right now: Lady Gaga’s »Pokerface« after she kicked ass already with »Just Dance«. Though, there is not too much to say it is important to have it on the site, assuring a more convinient browsing (just start the clip). Best thx of course to SnakeJo – it is »her« song, I guess without her my mp3 player was kinda empty…
